2020 Polestar 2 Pricing For Initial Markers Announced: Around €58,800

Prices for a new all-electric Polestar 2 in its launch edition have been set for initial markets the model arrives in.

Like the rivaling Tesla Model 3, the Polestar 2 launches at a higher price point at first. More affordable cars will come later.

The model made its public debut at the 2019 Genera Motor Show in March. It goes into production early next year.

First deliveries are scheduled for June 2020. Customers will be able to buy the cars online and make test drives through ‘Polestar Spaces’.


Initial launch markets include Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, the UK, North America and China. Other markets are under consideration.

Pricing include 3 years of maintenance and service, VAT, free collection and delivery. The actual prices set are as follows:

  • Norway NOK 469,000;
  • Sweden SEK 659,000;
  • Germany EUR 58,800;
  • United Kingdom GBP 49,900;
  • The Netherlands and Belgium EUR 59,800.

Polestar will unveil US and Canada prices later on. Previously they informed the rough pricing for North America would be around $63,000 (USD) for the Launch Edition, with a base model to start at near $45,000, when arrives.

The Launch Edition will be available for the first year of production. It features a Performance Pack including uprate Ohlins dampers, more powerful Brembo brakes, unique 20-inch alloy wheels, gold valve caps and matching colored seat belts inside.

The high-end Polestar 2 Launch Edition cars feature the Pilot package of active safety functions, Pilot Assist inclusive.

The Plus Package will be also offered. It comes with a panoramic sunroof, heated wiper blades, LED pixel headlights with high-pressure washers.

The Polestar 2 five-door fastback rides on a new electric CMA platform. It receives power from a pair of electric motors and a 78kWh battery pack. The total power output is 304 kW (414 hp). Acceleration from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) takes 4.7 seconds. WLTP-rated range is 310 miles (499 km).
