Nissan significantly modified the Titan full-size pickup for the 2020 model year. Upgrades concern the powertrain, styling, safety.
The 2020 Nissan Titan has been revealed at the State Fair of Texas. The event is being held on September 27- October 20, 2019.
The Titan goes on sale early next year. American buyers will be able to choose from King Cab and Crew Cab body types, 4×2 or 4×4 drive configurations and five trim levels – S, SV, PRO-4X, SL, Platinum Reserve.
What is new in the model?
- The 2020 Titan offers Nissan’s Safety Shield 360 suite as standard.
- The new pickup features a unique “Powerful Warrior” exterior design.
- The interior becomes more sophisticated, the Integrated Command Center with a 9-inch high-resolution touchscreen display is available.
- The automaker returns a 5.6-liter Endurance 8-cylinder engine producing 400 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque.
Horsepower and torque figures are the best-in-class. The engine utilizes Nissan‘s VVEL (Variable Valve Event & Lift) technology. The power is transmitted by a new 9-speed automatic gearbox with a larger final gear ratio, that provides more torque, faster and smoother acceleration.
Nissan also improves the vehicle’s durable off-road performance.
The 2020 Nissan Titan tops J.D. Power’s “Large Light Duty Truck” ranking in the 2019 Initial Quality Study (IQS).
