Nissan has created two new pedestrian warning sounds for the next Leaf. The car will be available in the end of this month.
The 2020 model receives several improvements, including two new pedestrian warning sounds updated in tone and volume.
Starting from tomorrow, December 20, which is National Go Caroling Day, customers will be able to download the tune via popular streaming services. For this, they should search for Nissan Leaf Canto Carol.
Two new high-tech electronic sounds for the 2020 Nissan Leaf are the combination of “Jingle Bells” and “Angels We Have Heard on High”. They are a kind of holiday earworms (“e-worms”).
The new Nissan Leaf for the US car market will make a constant tone “Canto”, when moving forward under 18.6 mph, and a pulsing chime, when reversing.
To meet the new U.S. electric vehicle regulations, Nissan upgrades the vehicle volume. It adds a speaker inside the engine compartment to make sound louder.
One more new feature on the 2020 Leaf is the standard Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite of six advanced active safety and driver assistance systems.
