The 2020 Lincoln Corsair (“journey” from Latin) celebrates its debut at the 2019 New York International Auto Show. The model enters the small luxury SUV segment.
The all-new Lincoln Corsair is one of exhibits of the just opened show in New York. It applies customizable technologies for personalization of driving experiences including Lincoln Co-Pilot360, Phone As A Key, Head-Up Display.
This “sculpture in motion” unites elements of a full-size Lincoln Navigator and a three-row Aviator.
A dual-wall dashboard in the engine compartment creates an additional barrier between occupants and the motor to provide quietness. Active Noise Control enhances overall sound quality. Six unique symphonic chimes replace standard electronic alerts.
Interior space is optimized due to breaking up the elements. Front-row storage, many outlets located throughout add practicality. The cabin is crafted with hand-selected materials.
There is a specially tuned 14-speaker Revel premium audio system. Technologies are integrated through SYNC 3 with AppLink. Apps are available from an 8-inch touchscreen.
Perfect Position seats offer 24-way adjustability. The Lincoln Corsair offers more legroom in the second row than many larger luxury SUVs such as the Mercedes-Benz GLS or the Tesla Model X.
Interior color options available are Beyond Blue, Cashew and Medium Slate.
The Corsair offers two 4-cylinder turbo motors: a standard 2.0-liter 250-hp (275lb-ft) unit and a 2.3-liter 280-hp (310lb-ft) one mated to a new 8-speed automatic transmission and Lincoln’s intelligent all-wheel-drive system.
The SUV also features a Lincoln-first rear integral bush suspension. The drive can be customized with 5 drive modes: Normal, Excite, Slippery, Deep Conditions and Conserve.
Like all Lincoln cars, the Corsair comes standard with a suite of driver-assist features – Lincoln Co-Pilot360.
Base Lincoln Co-Pilot360 includes Pre-Collision Assist, Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Information System, Lane-Keeping System, rear backup camera and auto high-beam lighting.
Co-Pilot360 Plus includes adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, evasive steer assist, reverse brake assist, Active Park Assist Plus.
The 2020 Lincoln Corsair will be produced at Louisville Assembly Plant in Kentucky. Dealers will have the vehicles in their showrooms in the fall of 2019.
