The production version of the 2020 Lexus LC Convertible has debuted at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in Great Britain. Expect market entry in 2020.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed is taking place these days (July 4-7, 2019). The event celebrates the 2020 Lexus LC in its open-top variant.
This is a production version for global sales following a concept unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show early this year.
The convertible is the same-sized as the LC coupé, but weighting more. It means the vehicle will need more time to accelerate and have a lower top speed.
Lexus positions the convertible version as a halo model that will determine the design of the brand’s future cars.
Inside it is similar to the coupe (2+2 layout). As for the powertrains, the Lexus LC Convertible will likely get a 5.0-liter naturally aspirated 8-cylinder engine in the LC500, and a 3.5-liter V6 combined with two electric motors in the LC500h hybrid modification of total output of 359 hp.
