The updated Land Rover Discovery Sport is no longer a secret. The SUV has got new technologies and the latest mild-hybrid system.
Outer changes are mainly concern the lighting: new headlamps have a more angular shape with LED running lights which flue along the bottom edges, rear lights are newly designed too.
A new 48-volt mild-hybrid transmission with a starter-generator built into the engine saves fuel. But this saving volume is still unknown. By the way, the powertrain produces 296 hp.
A cheaper version with a 246-hp four-cylinder Ingenium motor will be available to buyers as well.
Inside there is Luxtex upholstery (recycled polyester microfiber looking like suede), 40:20:40 settings for second-row seats, wireless charging, a revised center console and a smart rear-view mirror.
The ClearSight Ground View technology offers a 180-degree view when driving on rough terrain. Moreover, an adaptive cruise control with steering assistant, Lane Keep Assist, AEB and Driver Status Monitor added.
Once again, the Land Rover Discovery Sport will enter the US car market this summer.
