Jaguar Land Rover has presented the new 2020 Land Rover Defender in specific camouflage at the fifth Invictus Games ahead of its official premiere in September this year. Prince Harry approved the model.
The 2020 Invictus Games, which is a sport competition for handicapped ex-servicemen and women, has become the place for the next-gen Land Rover Defender preview ahead of its official debut at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show this fall. The vehicle is wrapped in a livery from the Games. With this event the carmaker is finalizing the tests of the upcoming model before its reveal.
The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, is the founder and patron of the Invictus Games. Jaguar Land Rover is the official presenting partner since 2014, when the competition was held for the first time.
The event is taking place these days (May 9-16, 2019). The new Land Rover Defender has become its symbol. There are 500 participants from 19 countries.
Prof. Dr. Ralf Speth, Jaguar Land Rover Chief Executive Officer,
Having been to the US, Canada and Australia, we are excited to welcome this inspirational event back to Europe. I am so proud the competitors will be among the first people in the world to drive the new Defender when they compete in the Jaguar Land Rover Driving Challenge in The Hague.
