This week, the 2020 Kia XCeed has been launched into production at the plant of the Korean automaker in Slovakia.
The Kia XCeed is a new urban crossover utility vehicle (CUV) aimed at young drivers and designed specially for the European market.
The model combines practicality of a compact SUV with sporty packaging and handling of a hatchback.
The XCeed goes on sale this autumn (fall). Its production started in Slovakia, where all Ceed models are built, as well as the Kia Sportage.
The newcomer is larger than the hatchback, whose platform, mechanicals and technologies it uses.
The length is 4,395 mm, the width is 1,826 mm, the height is 1,495 mm. The wheelbase is 2,650 mm, the ground clearance is 174 mm.
The CUV inside differs from the standard hatchback by optional 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, 10.25-inch multimedia touchscreen and bright yellow accents of the trim.
There are five engine choices: three petrols (gasoline) with capacity of 118-201 hp and two diesels (113-164 hp).
A plug-in hybrid variant arrives later. Prices have not been announced yet.
