The debut of the mid-sized SUV – 2020 Kia Telluride has aroused great interest in the automotive world. The newcomer first flashed at the auto show in Detroit.
So, the brand enters the new market segment with this model. Until recently, the main question remained open: how much?
The Telluride’s starting price in the USA is $31,690, KIA North America reports.
Thus, the 2020 Kia Telluride is somewhat cheaper than the Ford Explorer ($32,365), but slightly more expensive than the Nissan Pathfinder ($31,430) or the Honda Pilot ($31,450). This trio will be, apparently, its main competitors.
The SUV will be available in four configurations, with all- or front-wheel drive. The largest vehicle in the history of Kia is equipped with a 3.8-liter 291-hp V6 engine, what in combination with AWD makes the model a promising choice in the mid-size SUV segment.
Deliveries of the first vehicles to Kia dealers in the United States will begin this spring. The Telluride for the US car market will be produced here, at the company’s plant in Georgia. The Kia Telluride, as far as we know, will not be sold in Europe.
