Ford has announced pricing for the new Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. It will cost from $74,000 to $95,000 depending on configuration. The model goes on sale in the fall of 2019.
The starting price for the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is $73,995 in the USA. It is more than that of the rivals – the Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye (from $73,440) and the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 (from $64,695), and $12,460 pricier than the Shelby GT350.
A handling package costs $1,500, a technology package is available for $3,000.
The high-end Carbon Fiber Track package costing $18,500 includes carbon fiber elements (wheels with Michelin track tires, a wing, an instrument panel), as well as leather Recaro seats.
11 color options will be offered to choose from. The cars of every equipment level will be powered by a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 motor producing 760 hp and 625 lb-ft of torque combined with a 7-speed DCT.
The new Shelby GT500 will enter the US car market this fall. With the extras added this Mustang tops $95,000 and possibly more. The overall online configuration will be available to customers later.
