2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R Gets Upgrades Making It Better Than Ever

Ford upgrades the Mustang Shelby GT350R for the 2020 model year. The price rose up by $5,000 compared with the 2019 model.

The 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R is priced at $74,530. Ford says the price increase is due to a steady consumer demand. Indeed, the car becomes better than ever.

What are the 2020 model’s tweaks?

Firstly, Ford revises steering geometry making it longer-trail and improving the Shelby’s tendency to insistently follow road ruts on uneven roads.

Secondly, the manufacturer replaces the previous brake rotors with the new solid ones, more durable on the track, which extend the pad life twice.

Thirdly, the new GT350R receives 0.5 inch wider Carbon Revolution wheels (made in Australia, by the way) instead of the GT350’s standard ones.

Besides, the car can boast Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 rubber, that is 10 mm wider at every corner and more aggressive.

At the same time, the 2020 Shelby GT350R retains its potent flat-plane-crank V8 engine with displacement of 5.2 liters and 526 horsepower, mated with the same six-speed manual gearbox.
