A 444-hp V6 turbocharged motor replaces the naturally aspirated V8.
The new 2020 Audi S6 will enter the US market at the end of 2019. Unlike in Europe, where the sports sedan is sold with a turbo diesel, in the United States the newcomer will be available with a gasoline engine.
The 2020 S6’s six-cylinder engine develops up to 444 hp and 443 lb-ft (601 Nm) of torque. The turbocharged unit replaces the previous aspirated ’eight’.
In addition, the V6 is mated with an 8-speed automatic transmission, a 48-volt mild-hybrid system and an electric supercharger.
Audi claims the vehicle can accelerate to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.6 seconds. The Quattro all-wheel drive is standard.
The entry-level Premium Plus version will cost from $74,895. A more expensive Prestige is priced from $78,795.
