For the first time in its history, Ford Performance offers lift kits on the 2019 Ford Ranger and F-150 4WD models.
It is about a new “Performance Off-Road Leveling Kit With Tuned Suspension” jointly developed by Ford and FOX companies and tested in high- and low-speed off-road conditions to optimize driving.
With this kit, the American best-sellers will become even more attractive to buyers. Installation is carried out by Ford dealers.
The similar suspension tech can be found on the F-150 Raptor. The manufacturer adjusted the suspension for both Ford F-150 and Ranger. The kit will be available soon. It costs $1,495 (installation charge not inclusive).
The option consists of a set of FOX shock bodies, optimized spring rate, internal valving for dampers, truck-specific upper front mounts to limit noise and vibrations.
Apart from leveling off the suspension, the lift kit provides a 21% increase in approach angle and a 10% increase in breakover angle on the Rangers, Ford claims.
These figures are 22% and 7%, respectively on the F-150s with a 145-inch wheelbase.
