The 2019 Detroit Auto Show is around the corner. It opens on January 14 and lasts till January 27 at the Cobo Center. There will be more than 750 vehicles on display and 30 unveilings. We’ve listed the brightest of them worthy of attention.
Cadillac XT6. It sits between the XT5 and Escalade, has all-wheel drive as standard and uses a 3.6-liter 310-hp V6 paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
Ford Explorer. The company already unveiled the Police Interceptor car based on the Explorer, the production version should be similar. The standard model got a 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6, the sporty ST could receive a more powerful 400-hp motor.
Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. It is expected to have an engine with output over 700 hp, which is a supercharged variant of the 5.2-liter flat-plane crank 8-cylinder V motor.
Ford Bronco. It is a body-on-frame midsize 4×4 all-terrain vehicle (shares its frame with the Ranger pickup). Possibly uses an EcoBoost engine producing somewhere in excess of 325 hp and 500 Nm of torque.
Infiniti QX Inspiration Concept. Represents all-new brand style to be further used for Infinity pure electric line-up. A possible basis for production cars.
Lexus RC F Track Edition. A hardcore vehicle with outstanding performance features, which develops over 467 hp, has a pronounced front splitter and a massive rear wing.
Subaru WRX STI S209. A range-topping model can deliver more than 324 hp and 433 Nm of torque.
Toyota Supra. It is known to have two engines: a base 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder and a larger, more potent inline-six, both from BMW.
Volkswagen Passat. Utilizes the same model and motor (2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo) as the current model , but there are changes in design.
