The next generation Audi A3 is expected to be available in 2019. The price for one of the brand’s most popular models will start from $28,000-29,000.
Although premium hatchback sales such as the Audi A3 and its rivals – the BMW 1 Series and the Mercedes A-Class – suffered from the expansion of SUVs, the A3 still plays a significant role.
The hatch’s next generation is expected to enter the car makers in Europe in 2019. It seems to be recognizable outwardly, but the new A3 will be a step forward from the point of view of technologies.
The details about powertrains are still unknown, but the latest petrol 1.5-liter TSI engine with a cylinder deactivation function will be present.
The Audi A3 family will include a sedan, a convertible, a hybrid version, performance S3 and RS3. The company will no longer produce a three-door modification, since demand for it is actually low.
Some experts believe Audi creates one of the best dashboards. To some extent, it is so. Since the second-generation Audi Q3 (goes on sale this autumn) has a 10.1-inch central infotainment screen and Virtual Cockpit panel in standard equipment, the new A3 is expected to have the same trim levels.
The next Audi A3 is still being developed. The official debut of the model will be at the March Motor Show in Geneva. A little later, the hatch will begin to arrive to dealerships.
The new A3 in the base will cost around 28,000-29,000 dollars. This is more than the starting price of the current model. We hope the additional technologies are worth it.
