Genesis Motors is going to update its enigmatic model – the Genesis G90 flagship sedan. The first teaser is now available on the brand’s Facebook page, and it hints at significant changes, at least external.
Except for the company’s logo, it is difficult to identify a new product. Without a signature you can’t guess that we are talking about the updated EQ900 sedan (G90), based on the Hyundai Equus.
Even on the darkened teaser we can see fully redesigned LED headlights, which considerably differ from the optics of the series Genesis G90.
The radiator grille is expected to change its horizontal partitions to a mesh pattern. The grille’s lower part and the front bumper, as well as some body panels, will likely be modified too.
The back end of the Genesis G90 is not shown, but, given the changes in front, the taillights and the rear bumper are likely to update. The sedan will receive new body color options and new-design wheels.
We expect the Genesis G90 interior will inherit the style of the new Kia K900. It means a 12.3-inch digital dashboard and a multimedia screen of the same size should appear.
Moreover, the Genesis model will be called the G90 in all the markets. The carmaker gives up the EQ900 codename in South Korea, where the new product will be showed still this month.
