Nissan Loses Customers In The USA
Nissan Group has summed up the last-month sales in the US car market. Compared to November 2017, overall sales of the Nissan and Infinity brands decreased by 19% and amounted to 110,513 vehicles in total.
The carmaker sold 37,657 passenger cars (-33.3%) and 72,856 pickup trucks (-8.4%) in November 2018. Sales for 11 month of the year dropped by almost 8% and totaled 1,345,157 units including 554,503 cars (-18%) and 790,654 trucks (+1.6%).
Only a few key Nissan models have shown gains this year: Murano (+13%), Frontier (+5%), Rogue (+2%) and the all-electric Leaf (+17%).
Three Infinity models should be added, which succeeded in 2018: QX50 (+46%), QX60 (+11%) and QX80 (+9.6%).
The rest Nissan Group’s models have experienced falling demand in the United States.
The Nissan Rogue (pictured above) became the best-selling model of the brand last month (31,860 units) and for 11 month of 2018 (369,587 units), followed by the Sentra (195,479 units), the Altima (192,082 cars), the Murano (75,514 sales) and the Frontier (72,154 units).
Infinity sold 5,151 QX60s – it is the highest result of the brand in November. This model is also the most-in-demand Infinity in 2018 – 40,338 units.
The worse-selling Nissan models in 2018 in the USA are the Quest, GT-R and the Juke, as well as the Infiniti QX70.
