Kia Readies For a Launch Of the Telluride’s ‘Elder Brother’
Kia has introduced two fully new SUVs. They are concepts so far, but, as company claims, they give an idea of how the brand will develop its SUV lineup in the future.
At the home show in Seoul, Kia has demonstrated a vision of its future SUVs development. Two concepts – the Mohave Masterpiece and the SP Signature – create the impression of almost production versions.
At least, the second vehicle, as they say, is ready for manufacture and will be marketed in late 2019.
As for the Kia Mohave Masterpiece, it looks like the Telluride (pictured above) that recently entered the American car market. It is believed to compete with the Ford Explorer.
The Mohave’s dimensions are not reported, but it is likely to be larger than the Telluride and will present Kia in the full-size SUV segment. The Kia Telluride is positioned as a mid-size SUV, albeit it is almost 5 meters long.
A high ground clearance, short overhangs and large wheels hint at the off-road potential of the Mohave Masterpiece.
Moreover, the Mohave Masterpiece and the Kia SP Signature may become global models and be sold worldwide.
