Demand for Toyota And Lexus Declined In USA
Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) has reported last-month sales results. In comparison with November 2017, total sales declined by 0.6%. At the same time, for several models, both Toyota and Lexus, November 2018 has become the best-ever in terms of demand.
TMNA sold 190,423 units in total, including 163,977 Toyotas (-0.3% compared to Nov 17) and 26,446 Lexuses (down 2.5%). Sales in the light truck segment are the best-ever for November.
The best-ever results for the 11th month of the year are recorded for such Toyota models as C-HR (+10%), Tacoma (+21.5%), 4Runner (+13.8%), RAV4 (+23%) and such Lexus models as RXh (+116.1%, the best November in 11 years), NXh (+88.6%).
Toyota sold 24,545 Camries, 21,105 Corollas and 9,689 Tundras.
The Toyota Highlander sales grew by 5.6%. Lexus sold 152% more LS cars and 8% more ES vehicles.
