Citroen C5 Aircross Becomes Finalist of the 2019 Car Of The Year
The European jury of the 2019 Car of the Year has announced 7 of 38 models chosen as finalists of the world’s most prestigious automotive contest. The shortlist includes the Citroen C5 Aircross crossover.
Since 1964, the organizational committee of the Car of the Year annually selects the best new model. About 60 journalists from 23 European countries take part in voting.
The jury evaluates cars by many criteria, including quality / money ratio, design, comfort, safety, technology and ecological figures.
The winner of the 2019 Car of the Year will be called on March 4, 2019.This event coincides with the Geneva Motor Show.
The new Citroen C5 Aircross is one of the seven finalists which compete for the 2019 Car of the Year title. The largest crossover of the brand features a unique, energetic and self-confident position.
The French SUV debuted at the 2018 Paris Motor Show. About 1,500 customers have already ordered this new flagship of Citroen. The model will go on sale in Europe in December.
Sales of the French brand in the European market have been rising for the fifth consecutive year. The results bettered already in a year after arrival of Citroen’s first SUV – C3 Aircross. 120,000 buyers have purchased the compact crossover.
The new C5 Aircross is an integral part of the brand’s upgrade and should further strengthen Citroen market position.
